Hellfish - and the hardcore mania

Titelmotiv -

Doch lest selbst.

You are the hardcore pioneer for many fans. What’s your view?
I don´t care about all that shit, I just make trax and let them loose (our score is 60 x twelve inch + 6 doulbe lps since 1994 b.t.w)

Hardcore, breakbeat and hip hop samples are connected in your tracks, which are different to the typical well-known dutch hardcore but functioning nevertheless very well. How do you explain that yourself?
french hardcore producers don´t use hip hop much normally. but when they do, maybe its just because the bpms work well together, producers from france and holland are brought up on techno and dutch hardcore, so their mentality is totally different to mine. I grew up breathing us/uk hip hop, its my passion, so double speed double power hip hop in ya face is what you can expect from hellfish.

The listing of your deathchant releases is somewhat obscure, the catalogue-numbers goes from -10 to +50 diagonally? Is there a system?
i originally planned to release 0 to +50, then 0 to - 50 after to be awkward. dc 51 is to be released soon ( igor ) so no, there isnt a system...lol

You already played frequently in Germany. What’s your opinion about the german harcore scene?
i haven't played in germany much, for + 3 years in fact, but for sure there are some bad ass producers hailing outa there, like detest/speed freak + mr moleculez
